Breakfast Essay Winners

         Winners of the countywide Breakfast Essay Contest received awards at the April 2008 school board meeting.  Jonesville Middle School winners include Paulina Parks, first place and Josh Ingle, third place.
Lonesome Pine Short Story/Poetry Contest 2008

Jonesville Middle School has participated in the Lonesome Pine Short Story and Poetry Contest at Mountain Empire Community College for the past six years with winners every year.  JMS is proud of all the JMS students who entered their selections. Congratulations to the three Jonesville Middle School students and their teachers, Cindy Brooks and Wilma Counts, whose short stories and poetry as well were selected at this year’s Lonesome Pine Short Story and Poetry Contest. The winners are Sierra Hall, who placed 1st,  and; Keisha Holman, who placed 3rd, in the middle school category, and Laren Minton, who placed 2nd in the middle school poetry category.
