Hello!
I am Lora Lawson, the Guidance Counselor at Rose Hill Elementary School. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and master’s degree in Guidance & Counseling from Lincoln Memorial University. I taught sixth grade for 5 years before becoming a Guidance Counselor. I work with students, teachers, parents, administrators, and others in the educational and community settings in various ways to help all students learn and develop to their highest potential.
The goals of the Guidance & Counseling Program are to:
- Foster positive attitudes toward school, learning, and work.
- Improve academic achievement.
- Encourage personal responsibility.
- Foster respect for self and others.
- Develop career awareness.
Students may be referred to the counselor by parents, teachers, administers, or they may self-refer. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at (276) 445-4094.
In order to enroll a student, please bring:
- Birth certificate
- Immunization record
- Virginia school physical
- Social security card
