Summary of Events
Justin IngramFall Conference was held at UVA Wise on October 26. Our Chapter was represented by fifty-two members and our two advisers. Justin Ingram gave the response as part of our participation in the morning program.
Bradly HowardSeven members were able to advance to state competition in competitive events. They attended the State Leadership Conference and had a wonderful time. Two students, Justin Ingram and Bradly Howard, placed at the state level of competition. Bradly received fifth place in Business Calculations and Justin received second place in Web Site Development and will be representing LCCTC FBLA at the National Leadership Conference in that competition.
A group of sixteen FBLA members attended the State Leadership Conference. These members learned much more about FBLA and leadership through a variety of activities. Eight members represented the club by acting as voting delegates. Club members also helped Hannah Fitzgerald run a successful campaign for state office. Upon arriving in Reston, club members immediately caught the metro into Washington DC where they enjoyed a tour of the city. Mrs. Day, club adviser, and Sherry Yates, LCCTC Secretary, accompanied the students on the trip.
