JROTC I

Prerequisites: None
This course is open to 9th through 12th grade students. Two to three days per week are devoted to classroom instruction. Leadership lab/Drill and physical training occupy the other days. Subjects covered include: Spirit of American Citizenship, Leadership Development, Army Customs and Courtesies, American History, Drug Abuse/Prevention, Geography, Markmanship and Safety, Techniques of Communication, Ceremonial Drill, Wellness and First Aid, and Physical Fitness. The JROTC program wishes to foster the ability to act independently, the development of a cooperative spirit, an inrease in communication skills, impovement of physical fitness, and the promotion of leadership development. The LET I curriculum will count for 9th grade PE and Health.

JROTC II-IV

Prerequisites: Student must have passed previous level of JROTC
Skills emphasized in this level of JROTC are the same as the first level. Additional leadership roles are available to students who exhibit a high level of discipline, moral character, and devotion to the core JROTC principles. A student may also become part of JROTC Senior Staff depending on the student's individual accomplishment.
