Rose Hill Band Program

General Information on Classes and Schedules

Rose Hill Elementary is a K-7 school with enrollment approximately 220:  16 students are currently enrolled in band classes.
There are three elementary schools, Rose Hill Elementary, Ewing Elementary, and Elydale Elementary, which feed into Thomas Walker High School.  Thomas Walker if one of the two high schools located in the county.  Therefore, each elementary school is set up to teach beginning, intermediate, and advanced classes.
All band classes are designed to teach students musicianship through practicing, rehearsing, and performing music of various styles.  Attendance at all scheduled band concerts is a requirement.  Also. practice time sheets are kept by each band student for the band director.
The marching band will also be required to attend band camp during the summer at Thomas Walker High School.  This is a free camp.  Students will be taught the fundamentals of marching and performing.
