Keokee Elementary School Information

Keokee Elementary School came into existence as a result of the countywide consolidation of schools. K.E.S. was formerly known as Keokee High School, serving students in grades K-12 until 1989. We now serve students in Pre-K through grade 7. Preschool-second grades are self contained, while grades 3-7 are departmentalized per core area. At K.E.S., students are offered a variety of extra curricular activities, as well as library, technology, guidance, music, and art classes throughout the week. K.E.S. is fully accredited by the Virginia Department of Education, and has been named a Title I Distinguished School for three consecutive years . Our hardworking students, devoted and talented faculty and staff, and great Parent Team make Keokee Elementary School a wonderful place to be!

Our Mission Statement:

Working in conjunction with parents and the community, Keokee Elementary School will provide an enriched learning environment that focuses on the whole child. A "no fault" approach to teaching will focus on problem solving and maximizing learning opportunities. Students will leave K.E.S. equipped with the skills and attitudes necessary to meet the demands and challenges of live with confidence, determination, and high self-esteem.
