The purpose of the Educators of Distinction program in Lee County is to honor extraordinary teachers and administrators who have made a significant contribution to the lives of Lee County, Virginia students. Teachers and administrators nominated for this honor must have maintained exemplary standards of behavior and ethics, exhibited leadership inside and outside of the classroom, been enthusiastic about teaching and learning, demonstrated competency in their subject matter, worked well with their colleagues, and consistently sought to encourage, inspire, and motivate students.
